The Material
Here at The Sign Maker we like to provide you with an abundance of options so that we can meet a range of tastes and needs. One of our most traditional materials for stable nameplates is that of wood. We can make them in either Oak, a beautiful, traditional timber or Iroko a naturally oily timber that is darker in colour. If you would like something that requires less maintenance and can easily be washed down on the yard then one of our engraved stable nameplates are the best option. Corian is the most popular material do to its high quality feel. Made using stone dust and resin it creates a material that is cold to touch and looks fantastic. Corian comes in a range of different colours so take a look at our website for further information.
Other engraved materials include Brass, a very traditional and smart material. However it does require a little Brasso to keep looking fantastic. Engraved Acrylic Laminate is a very durable option, made from 2 ply 3mm exterior grade flexible acrylic which is both weather proof and UV resistant. An additional benefit of Acrylic Laminate is that it comes in a range of different colours. A final option is black Anodised Aluminium, another great maintenance free material. The lettering is lasered through the first layer to leave the text/image in a white/silver colour.
