The Sign Maker team has been back at work supporting it’s wildlife, this time with hedgehog and toad homes! At The Sign Maker we had a few logs piles that had weathered which meant we had no use for them, so we decided to turn them into hedgehog and toad homes.

There are lots of different ways that you can make hedgehog/toad homes, including purpose-built ones that you can purchase online. Or you can go for the option we chose here at The Sign Maker, a simple log pile, yet very effective. Wood piles are great because they create a home for hedgehogs, toads and lots of insects. The insect being particularly useful for the hedgehogs as they provide a food source. Log piles are also very easy to construct and look very fitting within a garden.

And of course being The Sign Maker we couldn’t help but give out toads and hedgehogs a house sign!

We have used a small rustic for the Hedgehog Home, our rustic signs are just beautiful. With the bark still attached it helps to create a much more natural feel to the sign.

The Toad Abode sign is made from corian, but in a new colour, marble! As you can see the sign has the elegant colouring of marble but is much lighter, cheaper, more durable and you are able to get more letters engraved on the plaque.
